San Diego Composites continues to demonstrate our ability to win and execute SBIRs; programs that engineer and manufacture functional hardware for testing and integration with Prime contractors. Successful SBIRs give our customers confidence that we can take on new technological challenges and provide solutions at minimum cost. SDC continues to invest in equipment and personnel to perform research and development on composite materials and technologies. From experience with traditional lamination, compression molding, RTM, VARTM and bladder molding, SDC provides its Space Structures and Optics customers with nearly all composites manufacturing solutions.

As a small business, SDC also offers agility and flexibility to perform on prototype or proto-flight hardware for Space applications. This mobility is especially important as our customers and the government look toward more responsive technologies for satellites and spacecraft. The SDC product development capability also suits one-off spacecraft structures, telescopes or optical benches that require complex engineering solutions without a production environment.
