Our People

Over the years, as the staff has increased, SDC has been able to maintain a balance between senior and mid-level engineers, recent graduates, as well as interns. This has allowed us to use the appropriate engineering level on programs, which keeps the costs lower and the quality high. The staff is at the heart of any organization, and SDC management has worked hard to provide an environment that provides for creativity and reward. In January 2007, SDC changed to a C- corporation and implemented employee ownership.

We feel that our employee benefits package is second to none in the industry having maintained a perfect record of 15 percent or more each year of company input to the employee self-directed retirement plan and employee ownership, which offers the benefit of reward as the company value increases over the years.

One of the most important training aids for our staff is the annual meeting, where we take a day or two to review with the entire staff what we accomplished in the previous year and what our goals are for the new year. We believe it is critical that we keep the staff as informed as possible as to our objectives and plans for the future. And if we can do that at an off-site that is conducive to some group fun and interaction, so be it.
